Stones to Jewels

This poem came out of a picture I saw in my mind one day when I was praying. I hope it will encourage you as Jesus encouraged me! Our prayers and praises matter to Him. His kindness is so amazing.
~Stones to Jewels~

The words I find to praise you can never be enough
They drop like stones,
or fall like dry leaves upon the ground.
But then I see you
You bend to gather them with your precious hands,
holding them close to your heart.
Then, smiling,
you beckon me closer.
Stretching your arms towards me,
you open your hands.
Your touch has turned the stones
to jewels.
Treasures, gems~
And you hold them
in your soul.
