I love the busy, joyful, hectic time of Advent; with the fur, feathers and flour flying, everyone singing, and the lights and candles reminding us that His birthday is so near.
One of the things that adds a lot of joy (and craziness) to my Advent is the annual string of all-nighters necessary to finish crafting handmade Christmas gifts. Keeps me out of the stores, edifies my spirit when I pray for and think of the recipients, and adds to the anticipation. Do they love them? I don't know for sure...lol! My family is kind and generous and I doubt they would say if they didn't. But I hope they get the idea that I love them more than sleep:).

The most satisfying part of working with fiber is seeing the beautiful raw material become a differently beautiful item with purpose...

Three decades to go! Deo Gratias!
