We live in the country, so I get to avoid this purchasing thing altogether! However, I do struggle with having it in the house and the consequent sugar high...and the constant begging for candy...and the -- well, you know how it is with little kids.

Oh yes, I dearly love a good book club! I belonged to one at the library for many years, and was exposed to books and authors I would have never "met" otherwise. Then, after grad school, a group of us stayed together and read some books…

Hi Sarah. I get in some good reading everyday by designating "quiet time" for my kiddos. My 6 yr old can read, write, or color, so long as it's quiet... I put the 2 yr old down for a nap while I sit with her and nurse my 9 month old.…
