"Have you tried to sit her on the counter with you while you prepare meals? A 16 month old can stir. Or fill up the sink and let her "help" wash a few dishes while you work. That way she is with you, but occupied."

"It's hard to say without knowing more about Christina's particular challenges. I do have some suggestions for very defiant/emotional and mood disordered children... but they aren't for the "average" child, KWIM?"

Homeschooling mother of 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls. We use an eclectic classical Montessorian Mason approach - okay, we do what works for us!

Two of my children are higher needs than others - 11 yo dx with Bipolar and LD and 2 yo who doesn't talk.
