"Thank you for your response.  It was what I needed to hear.  I think the shock of it all has thrown me for a loop and I just want to 'blame' someone - anyone - even myself for him finding this stuff.   "

"Personally, I don't think it has anything to do with trust or maturity. I think it has to do with age and body changes.  We have noticed with our own 9 year-old who will be 10 in June that he has a bit of wondering eye.    What I…"

tween's and chastity

We discovered our 9 year old soon to be 10 son was viewing inappropriate material on my iPod via the internet.  Where can I find a book or something else that will help us talk to him about this.

"I HIGHLY recommend the Ignatius RSV Catholic Bible. It is the most closely translated version (many other versions have problems in this area) , and I believe they offer two beautiful family heirloom quality editions. It is also the version…"

"I really like the New American version of the Catholic Study Bible (published by Oxford). It's got great supplementary material about Biblical history and context."

"Amy - thanks! I located the rules on-line and unfortunately they are only required to play 6 outs (2 innings). So the coach was within his rights. My husband & I have talked to our son about fairness and that how sometimes things do not work as…"

Amy Breaux Ducote replied to Lynn Altomari's discussion Youth Sports
"You might look at the rules for your league. Some leagues require a minimum amount of playtime for each player. We've always had really fair coaches, so we've never dealt with this. Hope it works out for him!"
