"Melissa - no worries about staying in touch. I totally understand about being overwhelmed - it takes a while to realize you are out of balance and then readjust (that was me about Sept through November.) Hopefully we'll see each other around..."

"That's awesome, Loretta! I feel so horrible for not having stayed in touch, but boy! Once school started up again I've felt just so overwhelmed! We actually had to scale back on some extracurriculars because I just couldn't keep up.…"

Mary Mother of Sorrows

Curious - I was not able to go to confession last week and I have been worried about this week. I have a particularly sinful habit that i have struggled with for over a decade and the last time I succumbed was when I couldn't make it to confession. So to bolster myself this week, I decided to learn the prayer to St. Michael which I did yesterday. This morning I decided to say the Rosary during nap time instead of hanging around on the internet. I'm not particularly good at remembering the…See More

"I'm a catechist and have been for SEVERAL years. I'm afraid I might not be much help. Our parish program works like High School. The kids spend 20 minutes with each Catechist and that Catechist teaches them a certain subject. For the last…"

Cathecists in the House?

I'm just about to be a cathecist for the first time at our parish. Are there enough cathecists here to start a group to share ideas, brainstorm, or solve classroom problems?

Early Morning Wake-up

I woke up at 5 this morning to feed Nate - now over 3 months old - and decided to stay awake. I always feel better when I wake up early anyway. There is something that I love about the quiet of the morning. It gives me time to quietly ease myself into the day.I think we're going to have a great weekend. It's Matt's 30th brithday. We have a baby-sitter tonight and we're going out again. We had a date night last night while a few of our friends watched a bunch of kids. Afterwards, Matt and I sat…See More

We actually had to scale back on some extracurriculars because I just couldn't keep up. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for the mom's group, though! Just a few more weeks left of my pregnancy which, so far, is going really well! Blessings to you and your family this Advent!

Hi Loretta,

We belong to San Albino Parish. Which parish do you belong to? I have attended almost every parish in Las Cruces since we have been here so am familiar with most of them. Welcome to Las Cruces. I see you are from Fresno....we are from San Diego!
