I felt cheated somehow by this book. I would love to discuss it with others who have read it because I was really bothered by several things and am wondering what I'm missing because it is getting tons of press. 1. Did anyone else feel that the pri…

Pamela - It's fiction! A Catholic thriller, in fact, which was a genre I didn't even know existed. I posted more about it over on the Faith & Family Live blog: http://www.faithandfamilylive.com/blog/a_catholic_thriller/ If you read it, I hope you…

I did my first bag today! All trash to start with, although I'm hoping many future bags will be stuff to donate. I cleaned out a bunch of junk from various drawers. My clutter-hating husband is going to be so happy...

My daughter has always been in the middle of the growth charts, and was a very late starter on solids (by my estimate, was still getting about three-quarters of her calories from breastmilk at 18mos!) so I don't have a lot of advice on what/how to g…

I used to always have my nose in a book. Now I have a toddler and a baby and have my hands full of diapers and my head full of the problem of coordinating nap-time. Life is good! When I get a chance I love to enjoy the online Catholic community, and I blog at my own blog and Faith & Family.

I wanted to comment on an article you wrote, though I am not sure how to get to it right now, but it was on the topic of 'the big family'. You were commenting on the fact that infancy is a hard stage for you and you were wondering how other people go through it so many times. I also feel overwhelmed at the prospect of a large family. My issue is not so much with the infant stage, as with the postpartum hormones that I seem to experience at that time, although, perhaps they go hand in hand with all the lack of sleep/ physical healing after a birth/ caring for other little ones, etc. I do love every stage my children have been through so far, all for different reasons, but the thing that gets me, is how in the world does one person take care of all the basic necessities of all her children 24/7 just about, who are all at different stages, and still have time to reach them individually, and get to know them, teach them, spend time with them... you get my drift I think! I have faith that it can work out beautifully and that it is indeed God's intention for many families. But I admit that it overwhelms me sometimes. You are not alone in that concern. I hope that we can share our experiences, concerns, advice, and encouragement with each other and the other moms here.

A quick question for you... how do you know most of the people on here? Did you get to know them through this website or did you know them from before?
