The Community for Catholic Moms

We've started up a small group in our parish for moms of kids w/ special needs. Now, these moms have kids with a wide-spectrum of issues - medical, developmental, physical disability, etc.

I'd love to hear some ideas about what would interest you in a parish group like this. Figure it's about an hour long meeting. I think most of us get our support online or in the various specific disability-related groups - what about an in-person group makes it worth the while?

Thanks in advance for any input!

Okay - now it's a given that brownies would make it all worthwhile, but apart from that. ;-P
How about a discussion of sacrament prep for those with developmental/emotional needs? I was pretty stressed before my special needs son's First Penance and First Communion. I'm starting to feel the same way now that Confirmation will be coming up in the spring.
