Hi there.
I am wondering if many of you are surrounded by support groups for Home schooling or even in your parishes.
We have been pretty much going it alone for many years and so I am glad to see this network start to happen.
Even if I am tardy in responding and still trying how to work stuff out.
We are blessed in Sydney to have a very large number of support groups. All, bar the Sydney Home Educators Network, are ad hoc groups. We belong to three - a social group (with the occasional excursion), a group learning group (we're doing French) and a Catholic Group. The first meets fortnightly, the second, weekly, and the third, monthly. We could be out every day of the week, but we have to do some work sometime ")
I have to watch my green eyed monster. You have something I can only imagine.
I have never been involved in any groups and neither have our children.
When we move, please God soon, we know homeschoolers in the area already. In some ways this makes the waiting harder.
We are blessed as well to have a large network of homeschoolers-some Christian, some Catholic, Some neither, But great support of each other
We have a weekly activity,
A secong weekly,
and a monthly social day, plus the Catholic Homeschoolers get to gether for Latin Mass with that community every month
Very social, as much or as little as we want
