Wasn't Danielle's article on children with Down syndrome great?!

I am raising seven year old Christina Maria, and find it the greatest source of challenge and grace of my life as a mother. Our family has learned patience and love from helping her, and watching her overcome life's obatacles with amazing perseverence and her extra spunk!
Here she is praying for my mother who is sick with cancer. It's the very first time she has prayed alone, and it lifted us up in a rough time.

Do any of you have special needs children?

I have two children with type one diabetes and like you Leticia it has been a source of challenge and grace. I think no matter what any situation brings, you can find God in the midst of it. The times that have been the toughest for us have been the times that I have looked back and seen God really present.
