Please pray for my upcoming surgery

Back in September my OBGYN attempted a medically necessary endometrial ablation , with no success. As if it weren't bad enough that the devise used for the procedure would not to work once I was under anesthesia, the whole ordeal was handled badly by the surgical center's staff and I ended up being sent home while still in a twilight state and with my core temperature unstable. Praise God, it all worked out and after a couple months I finally got to where I could accept that my only viable option was a hysterectomy. Because of this past incident, my OBGYN is being super careful and ordered an ultrasound a couple weeks ago just to make sure before he scheduled the surgery. On Tuesday my husband and I met with the Doctor to go over everything and the report read that my uterus had shrunk from a 13.5 to a 7.5. Since I am on a mild medicine for an auto immune disorder, we think that this is the reason . Even with this good news, I still am in need of intervention so we were discussing going ahead with the hysterectomy when my husband asked if we could retry the ablation since the reason for the failure( so we think) was that my uterus was too big. The doctor was reluctant but agreed that we could schedule a surgical spot as planned and that he would try to do the ablation first and if it worked, wonderful, but if not he would do the hysterectomy.
If the ablation works, it would be a lot less pain, no extended hospital stay, and five weeks less recovery time. This sounds wonderful to me but ultimately I am not God and only he knows what is best .I have pretty much accepted whatever God's will turns out to be but would appreciate prayers for continued faith and healing. Thank you
