Do you have a favorite high school literature course?

After homeschooling fot ten years, my teenager enrolled in Catholic high school. I was a substitute English teacher there, and was dismayed by the relativistic tone and the poor quality of literature used in secular textbooks. Literary cricism has gone WAY downhill since I was in college. I encountered secular humanism, anti-Catholicism and an immoral same-sex bent to discussing literature.
I have decided to suggest the school a Catholic approach to classic literature, after I read Joseph Pearce's wonderful book "The Quest for Shakespeare". Igantius Press offers a series of classic literary works with prefaces by Joseph Pearce. This is a very encouraging trend.
Do any of you know of any other study guides to great books which are Catholic or at least Christian-friendly?
