I want to or need to buy a Catholic Bible for our family.  What do you recommend?

I really like the New American version of the Catholic Study Bible (published by Oxford). It's got great supplementary material about Biblical history and context.
I HIGHLY recommend the Ignatius RSV Catholic Bible. It is the most closely translated version (many other versions have problems in this area) , and I believe they offer two beautiful family heirloom quality editions. It is also the version recommended my countless orthodox Catholics (Fr. Mitch Pacwa, Fr. John Corapi, etc.)
The Living Catholic Bible is simple, but also simply the best Catholic Bible in English. Otherwise, the Standard Revised Standard Version (RSV) along with the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) Bibles are both very well-written even though they are published, and I believe written, by mainly Protestant Bible Scholars. Here's my Top Picks in order:

1) The Living Catholic Bible
2) The NRSV Catholic Bible
3) The Good News Bible
4) The New Jerusalem Bible
5) The New American Standard Bible
6) The Douay-Rheims American Bible
7) The King James Catholic Bible

May the LORD God bless you in the name of St. Judas Maccabaeus.
