Book Review

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has heard of and read a series of books by Chuck Black: Knights of Arrethtrae? I know they are supposed to have a Christian bent to them, I just want to make sure there is nothing objectional from a Catholic point of view. Thanks!

Hello Maria D,

My boys and I have read the first 3 books in the series so far. I have not come across anything objectionable so far. Actually it is an amazing series, that has encouraged discussion about virtues and keeping the faith. I know I have read other Christian books that while they were a good read, did include pot shots at the Catholic church, I am happy to say that this series does not appear to do that so far. I have actually been thinking about writing a review on this series, and my 12 year old son, feels this series would make an awesome movie.
