Any ladies here have experience with reputable work-at-home companies?

Hi,
I could Really use a way to earn some money to pay bills, but my current situation isn't good for working out of the house.
Has anyone here had a good experience with any of the work at home companies?  I don't mean Avon, Mary Kay, etc. where you must leave the house. 
A friend of mine used to do assembly at home for a nearby sporting goods manufacturer, but they are no longer in business.
