Isn't it wonderful that we have the GRACES of the sacrament to humbly walk each day in this wonderful relationship we call marriage. The best thing we can do for our marriage is to frequent Holy Communion and Reconciliation often... get our weekly (…

Believe me I have been praying and even in some tears recently. I am searching for something deeper.. guess I am not sure what I may find and what if the truth I seek and find doesn't line up directly with Catholic teachings...God sure did bless me…

Lucy - It's where people "pass" an online invitation to participate through a "virtual catalogue." In a typical catalogue party, people pass books and take orders. With an online catalouge party you pass the invite with the online catalogue in it an…

I love John M.... and he is sincere in teaching the truth, but sometimes we have to dig deeper behind the questions (so easily influenced by the world in which we live), to the heart of the person and whether or not there is a sincere interest to un…

Part of having a lively, real faith in God is seeking to understand and have a closer relationship. The Jewish tradition is one of reflection, challenge and debate, and as our Catholic Christian face comes from the Jewish tradition (and because God…

Rebecca Teti: | I know we’re not Oprah fans here. But tomorrow the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist will be her guests. If you tune in, come back and tell us about it here!

In Case You Missed It

Danielle Bean: | Since Rachel’s talking about Super Bowl ads today, here’s a look at the “offensive” and “demeaning” pro-life commercial starring Tim Tebow and his mom. Kind of makes you wonder what all the fury was about, doesn’t it?

Mary Makes a Splash

Sarah Reinhard: Reflecting on Our Lady of Lourdes | (The feast of Our Lady of Lourdes is February 11.) Mary to the Poor and Simple At Lourdes, France, Mary appeared to a fourteen-year-old who wasn’t very bright and wasn’t very big. Marie Bernadette Soubirous, called by the diminutive of her name because she was so tiny, was the oldest of six, …

Super Bowl Ads

Rachel Balducci: How did they rank? | It was the Tim Tebow ad that got most of the pre-game attention, but I’m curious to see how you felt about the rest of the ads, now that the big game is over. To me, they seemed a little more tame (by comparison). Not nearly as many ads featured scantily-clad women, and only …

Every Day is Lent

Not too long ago after Mass, a casual friend approached me and said, “Whenever I heard things about you I would think, yeah right, all that stuff couldn’t possibly happen to her. So, I asked someone who knew you better, and she said, ‘yes, it really does.’ Wow, I’m sorry.”

Shortly after my husband left, and took all of our money with him, I was taking a shower and suddenly had no water. The well had broken. It… Continue

Where do you find your joy?

My youngest has 2 healthy lively little ones. She also works at her own business full time. She begins work~seeing clients~ at 6:15AM or earlier, so she can spend time with those precious treasures later in the day. Problem is, by the time she can spend time with them she is sometimes spent. How do you work with this conundrum?
We have discussed this and I talk with her about spending time with the Lord. He is the source of true joy. She has been trying to spend a little time in the morning, but… Continue

Small Successes

FaithButton

After seeing the Small Successes post each week, I decided I'd finally share my three for this week:

1) Looks like my 2 yr. old really is listening to me as I teach her prayer habits. She has started leading us in prayer at the dinner table, and even prompting others if they haven't s… Continue
